Oprah GailWinfrey (American entrepreneur) is best known as a producer. Oprah, through her talk program, The Oprah Winfrey Show (which she has earned numerous accolades for), has managed to remain relevant over time. This made her one of America’s most respected self-made entrepreneurs. Oprah is today a successful, kind, and hardworking woman. Oprah’s success was not without challenges and tribulations. Orpah faced many obstacles from the beginning. Oprah was the only child of a farmer sharecropper. She was poor and neglected as well as sexually abused. Oprah also experienced racism. She was born to unmarried parents who divorced shortly after she was born. She moved with her grandmother, a loving but strict disciplinarian, and she credits her with helping her blossom into a confident personality. Oprah moved from her home in Chicago to be with her mother, who was not always a good match for her. Her mother had many issues and Oprah was left with very little time to care for her daughter. Oprah was having her own issues due to the lack parental attention, which made her more vulnerable. Oprah suffered a sexual assault at nine by one her mother’s boyfriends, a relative, uncle, and a cousin. Because she couldn’t talk to anyone about her ordeal, Oprah acted out rationally and. Oprah was so out of control that her mother couldn’t handle it, she had to send her to Nashville to live with her father. Orpah felt that this was the right decision. Oprah said that her father, Oprah, was a strong influence in her life. Winfrey stated that Winfrey believed that she could become more than what I was. His passion for learning led me down the right path. Her father was a great mentor and she made a positive change. A scholarship was awarded to her by the University of Tennessee State after she became an honours college student and rekindled her love of public speech, which she considered an asset.

Oprah Winfrey’s competitive advantage was her inclusion. This was achieved by giving space to many different topics. The audience was not restricted by the show’s educational content. This was the stepping stone to her career, which enabled her to reach many other positions.
